need help finding schematic

Date: December 20, 2005 03:14AM Gentlemen, I was wondering if anyone could direct me to a schematic to repair wiring on a Cortez guitar amp model IC-281TR. Everything is in place on the amp wiring except to the input jacks (3) It looks to me that the nuts holding the jacks in place dropped off and someone just ripped out the wiring on two of the jacks. One jack is "semi" wired but dangling inside the amp cabinet. Also, I am wondering about the best type of solder to use for the wiring on this and can anyone direct me to a good quality solvent cleaner for the pots? Thanks for any help. I'm wanting to wire this together for my son's birthday (already past) and he needs it asap to practice for a gig Christmas weekend. Thanks for helping (if you possibly can) this mom do a nice thing for her kid. TIA, Crashtestmommy Re: need help finding schematic

Date: December 21, 2005 03:33AM Never mind I sat down with the amp this morning and figured out how to wire in two of the three input jacks and it is up and running. After my son took it home we realized we could have also wired in the bass input quite easily. I'll add that next time I have a chance.I would at some point like advice on solder to use for small wiring projects like this. I'd not soldered in probably 10 years and I don't remember solder being that "gooey." I actually wanted something much more liquidy so I could assure smooth welds. What I achieved were monstrous lumps of solder but everything I connected worked, so no complaints from my son for that reason. Yay! I'm looking around the site and it seems pretty abandoned in this area. Where is everyone? Merry Christmas..... Crashtestmommy Re: need help finding schematic
