1.5v Tracking Transmitter

I guess this sends out a beeping beacon, and is picked up by an fm radio when it's pointed towards the beacon....

There are still quite a few good circuits that are using the LM3909 ic (like the 1.5v tracking transmitter). Unfortunately, it's been discontinued from National Semiconductor. I still find these ICs very useful because of the low power consumption, and minimal components required for it's circuits. It's good to use in a pich....of course, I used my last one 2 days ago...:-/

Can someone tell me where I can get more of these?

Yeah, NTE produces an LED flasher circuit. You could also use a simple oscillator. It's pretty easy to build a one hz oscillator using just an inverter, a resistor and a cap.
