4 Transistor Tracking Transmitter

Transmitter Parts:
R1 100K resistor
R2 10 ohm resistor
R3 47K resistor
R4 220 ohm resistor
C1 4.7uf electrolytic capacitor
C2 0.001uf disc capacitor
C3 10 to 40pf trimmer capacitor
C4 4.7pf disc capacitor
C5 0.001uf disc capacitor
Q1 2N3906 PNP transistor
Q2, Q3, Q4 2N3904 NPN transistor
L1 4-5 turns of 22 ga. magnet wire close wound around 1/8" non-conductive core
Antenna 10-12" hookup wire

what sort of range would you get out of this and would it be suitable in 155.fre I was looking for something to use for dog tracking. what sort of range is this???
