I have recently purchased a new toy that uses regular batteries, but choose instead to use a rechargable battery pack. The problem is the toy requires 7.2v and the battery pack is 9.6v Now, I know there has to be some way to step down the voltage of the battery pack to be viable for the toy but I am not sure the best solution. I've seen a couple schematics on this site and a few others elsewhere that use a variable cap rated 30-200pF. But I can't find any dealers or manufacturers that list one of these. Does anybody have a part number or dealer they use to obtain these? need a couple to complete a couple of projects that may or may not work Thanks

Hi all, I'm new to this site and new to the world of Electronics Started reading the dummies guide and then needed something to start playing with.
